My story

Hello there! I'm Ashley, and I am the owner and lead coordinator of Ready Set Wedding. My journey to becoming a wedding planner began in 2015 when a friend asked me to help out with her wedding day. Seeing how relaxed and happy the couple was throughout the day brought me so much joy that I knew I wanted to give that experience to others. And here I am now!

I got married on January 10th, 2018, to my best friend of nine years, Dylan. Our wedding took place on a sunny rooftop in Playa del Carmen with almost 40 guests. Thanks to my detailed timeline and our amazing day-of-wedding coordinator, Kiani, everything went smoothly and was on time. I later found out that moments before the grand entrance, ants had to be cleared from our head table. Without Kiani's help, there is no way I could have enjoyed my day as a perfectionist.

My husband Dylan and I welcomed our first child, Scarlett, in 2019, and our second child, Emmett in 2022. As you can imagine, they keep us on our toes, but being a mama is something I've always wanted to be, and it's been the greatest gift and accomplishment of my life so far.

Partnership

In 2019, I partnered up with the lovely Rivers Edge Resort as their Diamond Package coordinator! The first time I stepped into the Pavilion, I was in LOVE! I mean, look at those gorgeous chandeliers! The owners, Joy and Scott are not only wonderful to work with but are so accommodating and will stop at nothing to ensure that your wedding day is absolutely perfect.

If you haven't heard of this venue yet, it's located 45 minutes east of Winnipeg, in Elma, MB. One of the best parts about booking your wedding here is that you stay the entire weekend!

Couples check-in on Friday afternoon for their setup and rehearsal, Saturday is typically the wedding day then clean-up and check out place on Sunday. There are two cabins available on-site which are included in your wedding booking, however, guests may choose to camp on-site as well. For more information, please check out their website:
