Why hire a wedding coordinator?

You're probably wondering...what's the difference between a wedding coordinator and a wedding planner? Really, the terms are interchangeable, but most associate "wedding coordinator" with someone who only helps you on the day of your wedding whereas "wedding planner" is associated with someone who plans the wedding from start to finish (and the movie starring Jennifer Lopez!).

Now that we got that settled, the next most common question is...what does a wedding coordinator do? Well, we can be as involved as you want us to. There are many different reasons why people may consider hiring a wedding coordinator.  I like to compare a wedding to a giant puzzle. A complicated puzzle that involves months of planning and investing. Basically, the role of a wedding planner/coordinator is to help you piece it all together.  Looking at all of the pieces (i.e. photography, catering, decor, etc.) at once can be very intimidating, especially in a world where people are getting busier and busier. Therefore, there is less and less available time to plan the wedding of your dreams.

So my question is...why not hire someone who has already done the research for you? You hire someone to clean your house so that you can have the time to focus on other things. You hire an electrician because they have the expertise and training to safely do the job. You've most likely never planned a wedding before so why not hire someone who comes with the necessary training and experience?  Perhaps you've started off your engagement and started putting some pieces together already, you've got a photographer, caterer & DJ booked but you're not sure what to do next. Truth is, you should enjoy your engagement and your wedding!

You shouldn't have to worry about the little things like lighting candles on your wedding day. From planning the timeline to keeping the vendors on track, wedding coordinators work their absolute best to make sure everything is executed the way you want it to be!
